Next time try calling before they close. They do not know if that is you or LE on the phone, they certainly shouldn't be answering after closing time and booking appointments for that same night.... Common sense would tell us you would have to book PRE-Closing.

I was at Henderson City Hall a few days ago for unrelated business and at the licensing dept. I asked the clerk about the new law. I was told all customers have to be out by 10:00 and the doors locked. There is no carry over. Leaving after 10:00 can result in a fine for yourself and closure for the Spa. Straight from the horses mouth.

I find it quite unlikely that the customer can be fined for staying after 10:00 unless I misinterpreted what was said. That would imply that a restaurant (or any other business for that matter) that closes at 10:00pm can't take customers right up to closing time. At some point discrimination will come into play...

Yes, that would not stand up legally I would not think. To require a place to close at 10pm does not mean the establishment will be finished with business at exactly 10pm. If they wanted that they would have made the closing hour 9pm or written it to state the last appointment time is 9pm.

We will have to see how this plays out, I suspect at some point some kind of check or enforcement of the new law will be done.

Stores and such do inventory, training and maintainence after hours, who is to say the spa is not conducting a "training session" with a therapist at 11pm?

Sad as it is LE is out to get the spas. They hassle the customers who are there during regular business hours. I wouldn't want to get caught after hours. Maybe they can't legally fine you but I wouldn't want to go through the process. Just be out by 10:00 and avoid the risk. They are checking!

If LE is in the midst of hassling customers during regular business hours for no reason other than they're "out to get the spas", then LE could technically be charged with harassment. It doesn't happen that often, but if they end up hassling the wrong customer, they could get themselves into a situation that switches focus on the department and procedures and less on the spas; not a particularly cozy situation. I'm going to have to assume that since they didn't vote to close down all spas instead of limiting hours, that no only are they condoning the spas, but that there's someone in a higher position in Henderson that has a connection with them.

city hall under cover people has went in recently after 10pm closing to get appt and was let inside by 2 amp in henderson. These women who voted to past the new laws on these places cant take care of their husband/bf.They do not wat anyone else to either. LE must go to LAS VEGAS soon to get service and yes they do this hibby too! Meanwhile people are getting murdered, girls being rape, serious drugs, people are homeless everyday in henderson for last 10 years and not enough is ever done about it and dont forget about the casinos doing everything possible to get your money so they can be taxed to hell to give it back to the goverment. LE get the spas now ! LE is the enforcer for the people that pay off for protection, its that simple guys

LE give their lives to serve and protect us. Sometimes we dont agree what they do but they are being told how to do their job and what to do. They will alwasy be some LE, like anyone else thats not perfect in life but there is alot more to this officer that was arrested for a petty crime. You dont get a nickname of a bad cop for just offering money to a woman for sex.

I have been told by a few people who own or run spas that they can take customers up and until 10:00PM. Many of the spas near casinos are in the process of filing to extrend their hours pass the current 10:00PM, they might know this month (Sept) if this will happen, they will decide yes or no based on the spas location and any other criteria that the city may want to use. they are asking to stay open until 2:00AM. This new law has really hurt their business, and many if not most of the Herderson AMP ladies are hurting. Hope they get their wish!

I drove past 7 Star near Lake Mead and Boulder around 1130 tonight and I think it was open. Some of the exterior lights were on and there was an SUV parked out front. When I went there before, it looked the same way.

2AM sounds like a reasonable request, especially if the spa is within close proximity to a casino. It would be good for everyone, including the city (tax wise, versus another business going out of business), to do something like that I would think.
